JEE Main Percentile to Rank Estimator
Calculate your estimated All India Common Rank List (CRL) and Category rank from your JEE Main NTA percentile score.
JEE Main Percentile to All India Rank (CRL) Formula
Your All India Rank (CRL) is derived from your NTA percentile by calculating how many unique candidates scored higher than you across all sessions.
Calculation Steps
- 1Subtract your NTA percentile from 100 to determine the top percentage of test takers.
- 2Multiply by the total number of unique candidates who appeared across both Session 1 and Session 2.
- 3Add 1 to determine your exact rank standing.
- 4For Category Rank, apply the statutory reservation seat and candidate proportion factor (OBC ~27%, EWS ~10%, SC ~15%, ST ~7.5%).
Practical Example
Scenario: Candidate with 99.20 percentile and 14,50,000 unique test takers
Inputs: NTA Percentile: 99.20 | Total Candidates: 14,50,000
Calculation: ((100 - 99.20) / 100) * 1,450,000 + 1 = 0.008 * 1,450,000 + 1 = 11,600 + 1
Result: Estimated All India CRL Rank: ~11,601 (Margin of error ±500)
Assumptions & Disclaimers
Key Assumptions:
- Total unique candidates across both sessions estimated at 14,50,000.
- NTA tie-breaking rules (higher marks in Math > Physics > Chem > Age) are not simulated.
Rank predictions are mathematical projections. Final official All India Common Rank List (CRL) and Category ranks are announced exclusively by the NTA after Session 2 results are declared.
